About the Item
A charming and small scale French early 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu, Crystal and Rock Crystal chandelier. The six arm chandelier is centered by a fine bottom facetted cut crystal ball below a lovely Crystal fut from where the arm branch out. Each of the elegantly scrolled Ormolu arms are adorned with Crystal rosettes, with three leading to wonderful foliate bobeches below the mottled candle cups and glass saucers. Three additional arms balance the proportions of the chandelier and showcase lovely Crystal sprays of rosette, oval and tear drop shaped Crystals. Stunning swaging facetted crystal garlands hang from the bobeches and connect each of the arms. The Crystal fut leads up to the top crown consisting of two levels of Crystal sprays with the same rosettes and tear drop shaped pendants.
