About the Item

A striking and extremely decorative French 19th century Neo-Classical st. wrought iron and gilt metal chandelier. The eight arm chandelier displays a stunning pierced bottom design with superb scrolled movements with a central arrow shaped design with fine striking gilt accents. Each of the eight arms at the center displays elegant gilt diamond reserves, pierced bobeches and are separated by exceptional pierced wrought iron palmettes. Four gilt chains lead up to the top pierced scrolled element with additional gilt diamond reserves and accents below the spiraled support leading to the foliate top crown.
