Offered for sale is a striking French mid-20th-century six-light chandelier, masterfully combining sculptural drama with nautical whimsy. Crafted from hand-forged and painted tole metal, this dramatic spherical fixture features a central three-dimensional galleon ship sculpture suspended within an open orb frame. The ship, rendered in burnished gold and bronze tones, recalls a stylized 17th-century sailing vessel with furled sails and rigging, evoking an old-world maritime charm.
The six candelabra-style arms radiate outward from the orb, each topped with faux candle sockets and patinated brass bobeches, creating a balanced silhouette ideal for rustic, coastal, or eclectic interiors. The chandelier itself measures 35 inches high (43 inches with chain) and spans an impressive 41 inches in diameter.
