About the Item

A lovely French turn of the century Louis XV st. gilt metal and crystal chandelier. The eight arm chandelier is centered by a fine bottom facetted cut crystal ball below a lovely curved crystal support from where the arms branch out. Each of the elegantly scrolled gilt metal arms are adorned with beautiful clear and amethyst colored faceted teardrop shaped cut crystal pendants with delicate beads and rosettes leading to most decorative floral bobeches and candle cups. The central fut is encased within a striking mottled crystal reserve leading up to the impressive top crown with wonderful scrolled gilt metal sprays adorned with an exceptional array of additional clear and amethyst colored cut crystal pendants and delicate beaded garlands. *Shade shown for display purposes only, sold separately.
