Handmade Italian Crystal and Gold Brass Chandelier Mid-1800s Six Lights

About the Item

Delightful mid-1800s Italian gold-plated brass and crystal six-light chandelier made entirely by hand and born for candle lighting; the structure has a central stem lined with crystal vases, from the lower part of which depart six curved arms ending in worked crystal bobeches; the arms are made of shaped brass, all numbered for interlock matching. The arms are richly decorated with a multitude of rosettes, drops and fan-shaped pendants shaped in faceted crystal. This chandelier was made entirely by hand and originated for candle lighting; it is not currently electrified, but is in excellent condition. For the export from Italy of an art object that is more than 50 years old, an export license called BELLE ARTI must be applied for from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. the issuance of such a government license takes about 2 to 3 weeks, which must be added to the order processing time.
