Italian 18th Century Venetian St. Murano Glass and Giltwood Chandelier

About the Item

A stunning and extremely decorative Italian 18th century Venetian St. Murano glass and giltwood chandelier. The eight arm chandelier is centered by a beautiful richly carved foliate giltwood finial below the elegant curved Murano glass support and reeded bowl with a gilded interior from where the arms branch out. Each of the beautifully scrolled solid Murano glass arms are adorned with exceptional cut crystal pendant and swaging garlands leading to the striking spiraled bobeches. The central support leading upwards is encased in a striking tapered Murano glass sleeve with most decorative reeded designs with two separate hanging tiers with square cut crystal reserves leading to a beautiful glass dome like reserve and flared foliate top crown.
