Italian 19th century Giltwood and Crystal chandelier

About the Item

An impressive and most decorative Italian 19th century Giltwood and Crystal chandelier. This stunning eighteen arm chandelier from the Lombardy region is centered by an inverted bottom finial decorated with large palmettes and foliate motifs. Above are the scrolled arms with foliate accented candle cups and bobeches from which hang rosette and prism shaped Crystals. A second row of shorter S-scrolled arms are decorated with richly carved foliate scrolls before leading up the central fut. The central fut showcases a circular braid and spoke section which leads up to a fluted mount supporting the berried laurel and palmette crown, from which hang rosette and prism shaped crystals. *Shades, Canopies and Chain shown for display purposes, sold separately.
