Italian 19th century Louis XV st. Gilt Iron, Crystal, and Glass chandelier

About the Item

A stunning and most elegant Italian 19th century Louis XV st. Gilt Iron, Crystal, and Glass chandelier. This exceptional twelve light chandelier is centered by a berried Glass bottom finial hanging from the center of the gilt Iron frame. Coming from the circular base of the frame are the eight scrolling arms that end with lily candle cups and decorated with scallop shaped Crystals, berried Glass pendants, and prism cut pendants. Additional Ormolu bands extend upwards to form a mottled cage around the mottled Crystal central fut. Four additional arms are located halfway up the cage which add another level of beautiful light. The cage meets at the top below a most decorative top crown and is accented with a fine set of small scaled Crystals and a berried Glass pendant hanging inside the top of the cage. The top crown is tastefully decorated with Crystal rosette ornaments and scallop shaped Crystal pendants hanging from the end of each band of the Ormolu spray around a round Glass ball. *Shades, Canopies and Chains shown for display purposes, sold separately.
