Italian 19th Century Neo-Classical St. Crystal, Giltwood & Iron Chandelier

About the Item

A stunning and large scale Italian 19th century Neo-Classical st. gilt metal, giltwood, iron and crystal chandelier. The twenty four arm chandelier is centered by a fine mottled bottom foliate reserve below an elegant array of lightly curved swaging crystal garlands leading to the gilt metal central tiers. Each of the most decorative scrolled arms are spread over two tiers each decorated with kite and prism shaped crystal pendants leading to beautiful mottled giltwood candle cups. Three iron chains amidst additional beautiful swaging crystal garlands lead upwards to the striking top crown with exceptional pressed metal palmettes also adorned with crystal pendants and swaging garlands. All original gilt throughout.
