About the Item

A stunning large scale Italian turn of the century Iron, crystal and cut glass chandelier. The sixteen arm chandelier displays a wonderful chinoiserie like feel with a stunning array of cut glass beads extending throughout the cage. The elegantly curved arms branch out from the bottom tier each displaying rosettes and lovely floral reserves leading to their bobeches with alternating designs between smooth and cut with prism shaped cut crystal pendants. The central bird cage shaped frame displays additional most decorative and wonderfully executed cut glass beads with remarkable floral sprays branching out and adorned with lovely swaging garlands and exquisite smooth and faceted tear drop shaped crystal pendants within arch shaped reserves. Above is a beautiful lightly curved design also displaying lovely floral sprays with prism shaped cut crystal pendants also repeated at the top crown. All original patina throughout.
