Lovely and delicate French Art Deco frosted art glass blossom chandelier signed Noverdy, France depose. Its distinctive design comprises four "V" shaped, fan like, jagged edged panels, each depicting stylized floral, scroll and leaf motifs, creating a natural and visually captivating setting. The chandelier frame is elegantly mounted by four decorated tubular bars held by a matching square canopy and features "les perles" which is beading that resembles a strand of pearls, all finished in its original light silver painted, hand forged iron with a martele surface finish. The motif showcasing a harmonious blend of artistic craftsmanship and functional design. The view from underneath appears like a blossoming flower or a floral bouquet. JEAN NOVERDY- During the early years of the Twentieth Century Jean Noverdy studied and worked at the Muller Frerès factory at Luneville, France. In 1925, Jean and his father René Drouhot acquired Verrerie des Vosges, a glass factory, and later expanded their enterprise by acquiring another glass factory and establishing their own glass studio in Dijon. The glass produced bore the signature "Noverdy" for Nouvelle Verrerie de Dijon. Noverdy produced at the same time as Daum, Schneider and Degué, and the quality and design of his art glass have made his name world-renowned.
