About the Item
A fantatsic and extra large 24-arm chandelier model 'Patricia T372/24' designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Swedish light maker AB Markaryd manufactured in midcentury, crica 1960.
The height of the body without rod is 16.5 inch / 42 cm and with rod 45 inch / 115 cm.
The light is made of a solid and polished brass frame with curved arms and clear glass globe lampshades. The brass parts have a warm, aged color and partly little patina.
Each arm has one socket for a small Edison screw base bulb (type E14) up to max. 40W.
The fixture is compatible with US/UK/ etc. standards. It is possible to install this fixture in all countries (US, UK, Europe, Asia, Canada,) although it may be necessary to purchase different light bulbs suitable to local electricity. It also can be used with a dimmer.
About Hans-Agne Bertil Jakobsson:
Hans-Agne Bertil Jakobsson (8 February 1919 – 29 June 2009) was a Swedish interior designer and furniture designer.
Jakobsson studied to be an architect in Gothenburg and after graduating he was employed as an industrial designer at General Motors. He was an assistant to Carl Malmsten and later worked for the luminaire manufacturer Ateljé Lyktan. In 1951, he founded the company Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB in Markaryd and was particularly noted for his design of lighting fixtures, where many models have become collector's items.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
