Majestic and Monumental Golden Murano Glass Chandelier, Italy 1970s - 1980s
About the Item
Made in Italy, 1970s - 1980s.
Wonderful large chandelier entirely hand-crafted in the Murano furnaces, dating back to the 70s/80s, in yellow gold glass, composed of 77 hot-shaped plates.
The attachment system to the frame is obtained by hot bending the glass.
The lower part is a disk, also in yellow gold hand-crafted glass with an old original Murano label. The disk is fixed by a large screw button, so when you see it from below you are not disturbed by the blinding light of the bulbs.
Thanks to this, the light is perfectly diffused and the effect is of great elegance. Any differences between the glasses are a guarantee of authentic Murano workmanship.
It is equipped with 4 spare parts, 2 perfect and 2 with slight defects but which are not noticeable when assembled.
The chandelier was commissioned by a Milanese hotel.
The handcrafted structure is solid and very strong, in white varnished iron. The electrical system has been overhauled and works perfectly and is compatible for the United States.
Each glass is 41 cm high.
