Mid-Century Brass & Smoked Glass Chandelier

About the Item

Impressive candlestick in brass and glass. This chandelier combines a minimalist, functional design language with the imposing appearance of a classic chandelier. From a central cylinder in the core radially fine, round webs start, at the ends of which there are bowl-shaped elements to hold the glasses. A special feature is a way in which the glass is suspended from above so that the opening of the glasses faces downwards. The webs run at different heights. The lower webs are shorter so that the glasses sit staggered in the entire lamp body. The glasses are made of smoked glass, which corresponds very well with the brass of the lamp. Because of the low height, the chandelier is also suitable for low ceiling heights. This design seems to be attributed to Hans-Agne Jakobsson and the manufacturer is Markaryd, Sweden. I would not necessarily confirm this. The chandelier is in very good condition and has hardly any signs of use.
