About the Item
This refined Mid-Century Modern pendant was realized in the Czech Republic circa 1950. The feature graphic domed shade with a rectilinear "waffle" grid pattern in relief on the bottom of the pendant offers a striking formal counterpoint to the curved form of the body. The globe is capped with a circular convex black enamel detail at its apex that connects to a conical canopy (also in black enamel) via a cylindrical rod in brass. With its clean modernist lines, austere form and refined color palate, this pendant is as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent vintage condition. The height can be adjusted to suit.
