Beautiful very rare Mid Century Modern metal ceiling or wall lamp by Ernest Igl.
The manufacturer is Hillebrand Leuchten. Made in Germany.
Ernest Igl was a well-known German graphic artist, painter and designer of the post-war period.
Very nice minimalist Mid Century design.
Lamp is made entirely of metal. In three colors. Reflector is in typical 1950s blue.
Shade is in white on the inside and mustard yellow on the outside.
2 original brass sockets for E27 bulbs. Rewired due to age.
100% original condition with no damage and fully functional.
Works with 220V and 110V. Cabling is suitable for all countries.
No bumps or dents. Not bent.
There are small rust spots and scratches on the blue reflector. You can see it clearly in the last photo.
Suitable for all living areas. Ideal for low ceilings.

Ernest Igl
Ernest Igl graduated from the Karlsbad Commercial Academy in 1938 and then attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the Academy of Applied Arts in Munich. After the war, he worked as a draftsman and graphic artist in Munich. Igl enjoyed a high reputation as one of the first illustrators at major school book publishers and distinguished himself as an internationally sought-after industrial designer. He died in Davos in 2001.
