Mid-Century Murano Pendant Light In the Manner of Vistosi

About the Item

This mid-century Murano glass chandelier has four tiers of discs mounted on a brass frame with an acanthus leaf detail. The discs are individually handblown elements, with the tiers alternating in color between amber and cristallo glass spotted with white pigment. The spots are created by rolling the molten glass in a cluster of white glass pieces before hand-blowing each piece. As each glass form is shaped, the white glass stretches and softens in appearance. This chandelier style is modeled after pieces by Italian designer Gino Vistosi for Venini. This chandelier is a piece of timeless beauty crafted with meticulous care in the Murano tradition. The orange hues from the amber and brass allure a warm and welcoming ambiance. This fixture adds a touch of retro charm and classic allure to your space, making it the perfect centerpiece to create an inviting atmosphere. Dimensions without ceiling cover and chain: H=22 in. W=15 in. D=15 in. 15 lbs.

Condition:

Rewired: Rewired to meet US electrical standards. Takes 6 base-size bulbs, incandescent or LED. 3 feet of wire at the top can be adjusted to the preferred length. This fixture requires a canopy and chain which is not included. Wear consistent with age and use. Wear on the brass frame due to age. Glassblown, no part is perfect or identical / with air bubbles from the making. 2 of the discs have flea-bit chips but areunnoticeable once placed on the frame. Discs have rubber thumps to protect them from screws.
