Mid-Century Swedish Metal Pendant Lamp by Carl Thore for Granhaga
About the Item
Pendant lamp from Swedish manufacturer Granhaga based on a design by Carl Thore.
A distinctive detail of Thore's designs is the staggered slats with outward sloping angles. These are mirrored across the central axis, creating an asymmetrical body. The central ring of louvers shields the illuminant from direct glare. At the same time, the inclined surface of the interior serves as a reflector and indirectly casts the light into the room. As a special detail, the central ring is painted in color from the outside.
