Modernist Hand Blown Murano Frosted Glass and Brushed Brass Sputnik Chandelier
About the Item
This stunning chandelier was hand blown in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. It features an abundance of brushed brass cylindrical rods emanating from a spherical body in the same material. Some of the brass rods are capped with orbital frosted glass shades fitted with conical embellishments also in brushed brass, while others are left unadorned. With its graphic sensibility and bold modernist lines, this piece promises to have a dramatic presence in any room. It would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. It has been newly rewired to American standards and is in excellent condition. The height can be adjusted to suit. The chandelier accommodates 30 candelabra based bulbs providing up to 1800 watts of light.
