An original 1960s sputnik chandelier featuring a meticulously crafted array of 69 brass arms extending from a central sphere, each tipped with a clear glass bulb. Inspired by the Sputnik satellite in 1957, the arrangement creates a balanced, starburst-like silhouette.
The brass finish has developed a natural, warm patina over time. A beautiful example of Mid-Century Modern design during the Atomic Age, this subtle yet striking fixture would look stunning in a dining room or foyer. USA, 1960s.
Condition: Great overall vintage condition. Natural, aged patina to the brass frame that has developed overtime. This fixture has 69 sockets and accepts standard Edison base bulbs. Max 20watt recommended.
