Pair 19th Century Country French Wrought Iron Chandeliers

About the Item

Pair Antique country french wrought iron chandeliers is a rare find indeed! Each has been completely forged by hand from red-hot iron over the blacksmith's anvil. First, the Dual hoops were fashioned, then welded together with an intriguing intertwined vine pattern with three dimensional aspects creating unusual visual interest. Next, four bobeches were riveted and forged to create bobeche platforms for external chandelles, with ring guides affixed to the upper hoop. Then, saw blade bobeches were welded to the top of the upper hoop between the external chandelles for four additional lights. Lastly, dragon motifs were hand-hammered to create a suspension crown which holds the chandeliers with link chains. Newly electrified with standard wiring including high-quality realistic-looking candle sleeve covers, all included in the price! circa 1880s Each measures 32 height x 39 in diameter.
