About the Item
A beautiful and very elegant pair of Italian 18th century Genovese st. Giltwood, glass, Iron and Crystal chandeliers. Each six arm chandelier is centered by a lovely bottom Giltwood acorn finial surrounded by charming crystal pendants. The elegantly 'S' scrolled iron arms branch out from a carved foliate reserve and are joined by beautiful swaging crystal garlands with cut prism crystal pendants. The arms end with a candle cup and crystal saucer with decorative designs. The elegant swaging Crystal garlands lead upwards to a striking spray centering the elegant baluster shaped Giltwood central fut. The sprays are also decorated by pressed Gilt Metal medallions with central Crystals amidst cranberry colored glass prisms. The top crown displays an additional most decorative spray also decorated with wonderful swaging Crystal garlands. All original gilt throughout.
