About the Item
A rare, large six-light chandelier by Swedish designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919 - 2009) for Markaryd. The six brass arms with painted metal shades, each concealing a medium socket with a maximum wattage of 100 watts. Shades are currently painted kelly green, price includes repainting of the shades and adjustment of the overall height. Circa 1960.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson
Hans-Agne Jakobsson was a Swedish interior and furniture designer, who ran his own company from 1951. Jakobsson was especially famous for his lighting designs, which often had a softly glowing light and organic shape. His designs were inspired by great, modern Scandinavian designers such as the Finnish icon Alvar Aalto and Danish lighting master Poul Henningsen.
