About the Item
Rare ceiling lamp produced by Stilnovo , 1960s.
Painted sheet metal frame, opal perspex diffusers, neon lamps, plastic.
Good condition, slight defect on one speaker, repaired and working.
New electrical system, neon replaced.
Founded in 1946, Stilnovo was one of the first Italian companies after World War II to combine nascent industrial design and the most celebrated names in international architecture, marking the history of lighting through intuition, irony and magnificent collaborations.
Stilnovo reached the height of success at the turn of the late 1950s and 1960s. During this period he collaborated with high-profile architects and designers on several projects, such as the Castiglioni brothers and Ettore Sottsass just to name a few.
