This 1950s light was designed by Ernest Igl and produced by Hillebrand Lights in Germany. The light construction is made of solid metal in a blue, white and yellow lacquer tone finish In the middle the light has a nice round shade element with whole pattern optic for indirect lighting. The shade has whole pattern design which looks really fantastic when the light is illuminated. The light features 3 light socket for e14 bulbs.
the light can be used as wall light or ceiling flush mount.
The light still remains in a good vintage condition with normal traces of use, some age related patina on the metal parts.
This light is in its original vintage condition, full working. newly wired.

Ernest Igl
Ernest Igl graduated from the Karlsbad Commercial Academy in 1938 and then attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the Academy of Applied Arts in Munich. After the war, he worked as a draftsman and graphic artist in Munich. Igl enjoyed a high reputation as one of the first illustrators at major school book publishers and distinguished himself as an internationally sought-after industrial designer. He died in Davos in 2001.

This modernist light was produced in Germany in the 1980s by Sölken Leuchten. It is made from solid metal and brass with 5 light arm elements on each light. the light element do have a nice tube form, Minimalist design of the 1980s design era. This wonderful and rare light has 5 sockets for e 14 bulbs each, best to be used with half shaded light bulbs. the light has a nice Size of 24cm in diameter.
The light remains in a good all original vintage condition due to the age with normal brass surface patina and slight traces of use. The light is an full working condition.
