Marvellously hand painted poppy flowers pendant by Leune. With early 20th century lighting being one of our specialities, we always get excited when we find a light fixture that we have never seen before. We loved this fixture when we first saw it and we immediately knew it had to be ours. The inside of the glass shade is completely enameled in yellow and this is the perfect background for the striking and richly colored poppy flowers. When later we saw this unique pendant rewired and with the light switched on, we could not be happier with our purchase, because this work of lighting art then comes even more alive. The warm light it radiates is second to none and the colors are simply amazing. They actually are even more warm in real life. The light shining upward also makes the perfectly gilt chain and canopy more prominent. The combination of the striking flower shade and the gilt bronze truly is a marvel to look at. With the glass shade marked by Société Anonyme des Etablissements Leune, you just know that you have purchased a very rare and great looking, art glass fixture from the earliest years of the 20th century.
