Superb Original Art Deco Pendant Light with Stepped Opaline Glass Shade and Bronze Gallery, c. 1930
A striking and authentic example of early 20th-century design, this original Art Deco pendant light features a beautifully tiered opaline glass shade suspended from its original patinated bronze gallery. The stepped, beehive form of the shade is a classic hallmark of the Art Deco movement, reflecting the era’s fascination with geometric forms and modern industrial elegance.
The opaline glass displays a soft, diffused glow when lit, providing both atmospheric warmth and functional clarity—ideal for both residential and commercial interiors. The gallery retains its original bronze finish, naturally aged to a rich, warm patina that complements the cool tones of the glass.
This piece comes complete with its original chain and twisted fabric flex, ready for installation. The fixture has been professionally rewired and PAT inspected to UK standards, using high-quality UK components. It is fully functional and ready for immediate installation.

Cleaning, Polishing & Restoration
All our collections have been through our workshop and where possible, we always try to maintain the original finish preserving the patina and colour, some items are sympathetically restored and this is done by our own skilled craftsmen using only traditional methods
We complete a full assessment, re-wire and PAT inspection on all lighting. The full assessment can include general upkeep and updating – Fitting new lamp holders, deep cleaning, minor repairs and replacement of fragile metal pins are all part of our service. Rewiring includes a standard rewire to conform with UK electrical regulations to an adaptation or conversion
