About the Item
Torpedo chandelier by ldo Nason for AV Mazzega. Manufactured in midcentury, circa 1970 (at the end of 1960s and beginning of 1970s). Handmade and high quality piece. 3 hand blown Murano opaque/milky crystal glass “torpedoes”. Chromed metal parts made of iron and brass. Bakelite sockets.
Minimalistic design executed with a taste for excellence in craftsmanship.
Good cleaned respecting the beautiful patina, well wired, in full working order and ready to use. The fixture requires 3 E14 standard bulbs and is compatible with the US/UK/ etc. Standards. Drop Hain can be adjusted as required, free of charge, for greater or lesser drop
AV Mazzega:
AV Mazzega was founded in 1946 by Angelo Vittorio Mazzega. In 1950 his son Gianni Bruno Mazzega started working in the family’s glass factory. Gianni Bruno Mazzega is responsible for the creation of many beautiful lamps.
Today, under the watchful eye of Andrea Mazzega, grandson of Angelo Vittorio, the company works together with high-level international designers. Andrea is the president of the company, since 2000. The company is renamed in Mazzega 1946; the year AV Mazzega was founded.
