Vintage German Postmodern Hollywood Regency Brass Counterweight Pendant, 1970
About the Item
Very rare train pendant lamp of the German luminous designer Florian Schulz.
An impressive design of considerable size and complexity. The lamp convinces with its simple elegance as well as the high -quality workmanship and materiality. The well -dosed ornamentation, the reflective brass and the simple umbrella shape make this design be solemnly and objectively. The umbrella shows the characteristic shape and opening on the top, as you know them from other Schulz designs. A recurring element that gives the great umbrella a certain lightness. The three sleeves of the versions emerge from the opening at the top. Ornamental details in the form of balls adorn the central pendulum weight and the handle below the umbrella. The canopy is also kept in brass. The cable is connected to the canopy and the central weight via several eyelets and thus enable the height adjustment of the lamp. The cable was professionally renewed and replaced by a black textile cable.
The lamp is in very good condition and has hardly any signs of wear. The cables were renewed.
