1950's Ferdinand Solère Floor Lamp
About the Item
A metal floor lamp, which dates from the 1950s, industrial style and period.
It is marked on the various SOLR ball joints.
The lamp is covered with a blue sieve to avoid cast shadows and has an anti-glare effect.
It has a telescopic arm and is height adjustable. The lampshade has an integrated glass diffuser, also known as "Solarsol". The lamp is in good condition with a trace of age and use.
Louis Ferdinand Solère ( 1894-1961) was a designer and designer of lighting for workshops, hospitals, industries, architects, etc. his company is name : Edition SOLR.
In 1952, in Paris, Ferdinand SOLERE, a great name in French design, created a series of light and handy lamps mainly for architects.
Very inventive, this designer has filed no less than 37 patents! These lamps have been constantly evolving.
In 1965, Ferdinand SOLERE perfected the joints of his lamps with his patented knee joint system. From this date, all the fixings of its lamps will be reviewed with this process.
Each element of this lamp is stamped “SOL-R”.
