About the Item
A whimsical piece by Sam Rush with a nod to Abel Lafluer.
This floor lamp is made of higher grade stainless steel and is made with carefully consideration to the interplay between light and its reflection. Thus, there are three source points of light built into this sculpture, two points which reflect off the wings and a single point from the head which illuminates the body and area before the angel DJ. The intention being for the lamp to "own", and maintain an atmosphere for a complete area of a room, both as an arresting sculpture by day and a benign presence and light source by night. The light sources are controlled by dimmer switches to be adjustable to suit.
As with all Sam rush creations, they are individually made by himself, the designer, and are never quite the same. Due, not only to their build quality, but also to their limited nature, Sam's lamps are expected to appreciate in value with time.
