Bauhaus Floor Lamp by Karl Trabert for Schanzenbach & Co 1930s Germany
About the Item
Exceptional Bauhaus / Art Deco floor lamp. Designed by Karl Trabert (attributed), 1928. Manufactured by Schanzenbach & Co., Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 1930s. This lamp doesn't have the so called 'diffuna' original special paper shade, but a plexiglass one which should have come later as a replacement.
Executed in nickel-plated brass and metal sheet, matte plexiglass, the lamp needs 1 x E27 / E 26 Edison screw fit bulb, is rewired, and in working condition. It runs both on 110 / 230 volt. Interrupter on the cord.
Good condition. Wear consistent with use and age.
