About the Item
Inspired by the iconic Bishop’s hook cast-iron street lamps that illuminate New York City’s Williamsburg Bridge, this elegant tall floor lamp is comprised of a blackened-steel hand-spun shade, brushed-brass curved neck and ebony-stained ashwood base. The hexagonal base is heavily-weighted for stability. The clear cord has a step on/off switch. This lamp comes with a removable blackened-steel base plate for added stability in high-traffic spaces.

Based in New York City, Coil + Drift is the design studio of John Sorensen-Jolink, an acclaimed modern-dancer-turned-designer who performed with contemporary choreographers and directors such as Robert Wilson, Lucinda Childs, and Twyla Tharp before beginning his self-taught design practice four years ago. The studio creates luxurious American-made contemporary furniture, lighting, and accessories that emphasize creative form, sustainability and effortless functionality.
