Bombo di Toso per Vetrerie Toso

About the Item

Bombo is a modular lamp designed by Giusto Toso for Vetrerie Toso. It consists of three glass cylinders that can be stacked in any desired order. Each cylinder is open at the bottom and features a rubber gasket to prevent damage when stacked. The top is sealed with three small indentations that serve both an aesthetic and functional purpose: they keep the cylinders from moving once stacked. Bombo reinterprets Carlo Nason's approach to using multiple glass elements in a contemporary way. The rubber gasket introduces a dissonant element compared to the traditional production of Venetian glassworks.
