About the Item
This is a beautiful French antique floor lamp from the 50s. To modernize the lamp while preserving its vintage charm, we have chosen a new rope lampshade that enhances the warm tones of the patinated wood, creating a delightful blend of classic and contemporary aesthetics.
These types of lamps are often attributed to Charles Dudouyt, featuring exquisite patinated wood, as illustrated in the accompanying photos. A fun detail about this lamp is the small "table" it has, making it the perfect reading or cocktail lamp.
This kind of aesthetic suits various kinds of interiors, going from wabi-sabi to eclectic, to art deco and even contemporary design projects.
The lamp comes with the shade included and has been completely restored and rewired, but keep in mind that this was done according to European norms. To make it fit for an American project, the wiring and plug should be redone.
