Italian modern steel and crystal floor lamp by Gyula Pap for Tecnolumen, 1970s. Floor lamp model BST23, with satin steel structure and circular crystal lampshade, with a small perforated copper bell that rests on the bulb and allows you to direct the brightness. Produced by Tecnolumen in 1970 and designed by Gyula Pap. Excellent condition. Measurements in cm 30d x 170h Stunning floor lamp in steel and with an opaque crystal disc, very beautiful and precious to frame it and which accompanies the light, produced by the famous Tecnolume company, completely made in Italy. Absolutely recommended for a living room, a reading corner but also in a bedroom thanks to its wispy and minimal figure it adapts to any style and situation. A vintage Mid-Century modern Italian floor lamp made of hand crafted polished brass designed by Gaetano Sciolari and produced by Stilnovo, in good condition. The sculptural light is composed with a large curved shade which is made of hand blown smoked crystal glass, supported by three long stem, resting on a thick round marble base. In his final year as a Bauhaus student in Weimar, Gyula Pap helped out Georg Muche and the construction department by designing a floor lamp for their experimental house, “Am Horn”. The light source is a special design feature in its own right – an exposed incandescent light bulb with a mirrored dome, which had just been invented at the time. The rays of light are channelled downwards, making the light source appear dark. The light is absorbed and refracted by the etched pane of frosted glass in such a way that it appears to float like a shining layer above the thin, nickel-plated metal tube.
