About the Item

The base of the lamp is heavy, and its wood grain glows in natural or illuminated light. The warmed toned Teak wood is carefully selected; It is hand cut and oil finished with the utmost care. The lampshade is handmade through a multi-day process of steam bending the wood rim and oiling custom warm toned parchment paper. Unlike traditional lampshades, the oiled paper process allows light to permeate its semi-translucent sides, creating a warm soft glow in all directions. Brass elements are used to hold dual light bulbs to an ideal height, and a floor dimmer switch lets you set the mood perfectly. The golden metallic brass is a subtle detail that is only noticeable only when passing close by. Get creative with its placement. You can design an entire room around this floor lamp. Make it a sculptural center piece of a room or place it next to your favorite chair as a reading light. It pairs well next to a credenza or in a corner as an accent light. The possibilities are endless. The floor lamp listing is for a Teak wood with Golden Sand colored lampshade. Other hardwood is available upon request.
