Rare Japanese floor lamp from Maison Rispal, France 1960. The tripod base in black lacquered tubular metal is enhanced by gilded brass pads, the pleated Rhodoid lampshade is fixed on a bayonet socket. The finesse of the design, the quality of the manufacturing and the softness of the light diffused by the Rhodoid draw on the register of traditional Japanese lighting, simplicity, elegance and lightness.
