Mid-Century Brass Floor Lamp in the style of Jacques Adnet for Valenti, Spain

About the Item

Rare Mid-Century floor lamp by Valenti. This design is often attributed to the French designer Jacques Adnet. But that is not correct. An imposing design in shiny brass. The design is based on the shape of the cone. The heavy base is cone-shaped. The same shape is found at the other end in the shade. Both cones are connected by a shaft. The upper part of the shaft describes a perfect half arch. The shade can be adjusted in a small radius by means of a ball-and-socket joint. The lamp has a foot switch. It is in a very good condition with traces of use. The electrical system has been professionally renewed and the surface polished by a craftsman.
