Mid-Century Italian Space Age Model Birillo Murano Glass Floor Lamp, 1960s

About the Item

Impressive Space Age floor lamp made in Italy with two different colored glass bodies. This rare lamp impresses with its materiality and organic design language. The two large diffusers, also made of opal glass, are connected in the middle with a heavy cuff and fixed with screws. The upper part is spherical, the lower part is tulip-like and forms a foot. The light highlights the shape of the lamp body and at the same time bathes the room in a special lighting atmosphere. The lamp has two burning points. One light source illuminates the upper diffuser, the second light source illuminates the lower diffuser, which also forms the base. The lamp has 2 cord switches so that the two parts of the lamp can be switched separately. It is in very good condition and has hardly any signs of wear.
