Modernist Brass & Hand Blown Murano Glass Floor Lamps with Polished Brass Shades

About the Item

This exquisite and rare pair of modernist floor lamps were realized in Murano, Italy- the island off the coast of Venice renowned for centuries for its superlative glass production. They offer an abundance of hand blown Murano rectangular embellishments in translucent honey hued and clear glass- that collectively form a patchwork pattern- wrapped around a cylindrical brass body. The lamps sit on circular brass bases, and are fitted with open form rectangular shades in polished brass- testifying to the fact that no detail was overlooked in their construction. These magnificent floor lamps embody the boldness, the verve and impeccable quality that discerning collectors of first rate Italian modernist design cherish. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent vintage condition. Italy, 21st Century Dimensions: 71"H x 16"W x 8'D (each).
