About the Item
Postmodern Memphis style torchiere/ floor lamp, Italy c. 1980. The rough burnished metal lamp rod has the typical Memphis 'Pilastro' composition, with a glass tube segment and a glass light switch insertion. The blue with white inlay conical glass screen, laying on a chamfered spherical element, it's an allusion to the classic historical models. The masive natural steel basis of the lamp has a glass insertion in the same Memphis blue color. The unusual shape and the strong contrast between the materials generates an eye-catching presence in this case.
