About the Item
This striking floor lamp was produced by Markslöjd in Kinna, Sweden, in the 1970s. The piece is marked with the Markslöjd label and model number on the underside of the base.
The design is characterized by a sculptural, organically shaped frame resting on a circular base made of solid birch wood. It features a brass and birch wood shade holder and bulb fitting. The coolie-shaped, structured fabric shade is original and can be adjusted into different positions. A striking example of Scandinavian Modern lighting.
The lamp is in very good condition. Currently with a 220V European plug and E27 bulb holder.
Shade diameter is 57 cm.
