Steel and acrylic glass arc lamp, Italy, 1960s
About the Item
Imposing floor lamp that represents the fusion of Space Age style and Italian Modern style. Made with a three-rail stainless steel sliding arch supported by a very large base consisting of a steel cylinder filled with enameled concrete and covered with a chrome-plated steel plate on which a removable object holder is placed. The tilt is variable simply by moving the arch anchor to the base, varying the position using a bolt pin. Maximum extension is achieved by sliding the center rail inside the two side rails, and fixing the desired position by means of a circular handcuff placed over the rails. The large Perspex diffuser with chrome-plated steel reflective bell provides a wide beam of illumination. The inclination of the speaker is also adjustable. E27 bulb socket - 220/240V power supply. Foot-operated power switch.
