About the Item
Unique 28" wide midcentury glass chandelier with floral details, attr. Pietro Chiesa
Beautiful 28" wide and 6" deep chandelier with 2 parallel glass shields with floral motive etchings. The floral motive is a red thread in the design process for this light attributed to Pietro Chiesa. The designer has been very active in the 1940-1950 and designed many different versions of the same floral topic, wall-lights and flush mounts are probably the best known examples. All show the same intricate elements, glass shields with deep sandblasted floral incisions and brass work with realistic stems, leaves and petals. This is an outstanding example, very delicate and rare. The glass shows no cracks, nor chips around the rim. The original lacquered aluminum and brass parts we left untouched (just cleaned it gently). The brass shows a rich patina which also contributes to the overall original look.

Barovier Toso flush mount or ceiling fixture from glass and brass. Wonderful handmade petal glass pieces circulating around a large dome of glass. It casts a wonderfull light. The hardware is from brass and iron, lacquered partially. Very high quality piece which is equipped with 9 bulb sockets in total (e27 max 75W). It may be used with Led's and is dimmable depending on the Led's used. We do also recommend LEDs due to lesser heat emission and therefore lesser cracking danger for the vintage glass...
