Unusual 1960's Gilt Steel and Glass Chandelier / Lantern with Flowers

About the Item

An unusual lantern style hanging fixture characterized by open work butterfly wings resulting in a pierced, netlike fringe which decorates the top and bottom circumference of this cylindrical chandelier like a crown. Blossoming flowers adorn the caged structure, which houses a thick reticulated glass liner. When seen from underneath, the pattern created looks like a spirograph of mathematical hypotrochoid curves. Finished in the original gold /brass plated steel The height can be adjusted. This chain can be shortened if necessary. The shortest height the fixture can hang is 26 " ht. Can be used in a hallway, foyer, bar area, over a kitchen island, lobby, bedroom, boudoir, dressing room... in any setting ie: Mid Century Modern, Boho chic, traditional, Art Deco, Hollywood regency, Brutalist, Transitional, Post Modern, Japonisme, Italian design.
