Venetian Antique Rare Stained Glass Lantern, Italy around 1870
About the Item
While searching for my clients, I came across this beautiful decorated lantern, and it took a lot of persuasion to convince the wealthy owners to sell it. It comes from an old manor house that has since been renovated, and the lamp was stored in the attic. It used to hang in the entrance way, enchanting everyone with its magical light.
The lantern is intricately handcrafted, with beautiful wrought iron decorations that add a touch of art to the piece. The arches and flowers create a harmonious overall picture, making it a true work of art. The mouth-blown, lead-beveled glass panes are particularly beautiful; all are in their original, well-preserved condition. Over the years, some of the smaller metal decorations have been lost, but it's really not noticeable at all. I only noticed it when I was refurbishing the lantern. The lamp uses two E26/27 screw-thread light bulbs, and if you prefer a light bulb, we recommend using clear glass bulbs. I'm so excited to tell you about this unique lamp! It's a real gem — not something you'd often find in this size. It's a full 100 cm from end to end, giving you plenty of space to relax and unwind.

- Condition:Rewired: The lamp was rewired five years ago, so it's all good! It even has a ground wire. I'm sorry to say that some of the metal trim is missing, but I promise you that you won't even notice it when looking at the lamp. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses.
