1950s French Brass Crystal Gilt Chandelier Wall Light Sconces Set of 4 Regency

About the Item

A substantial set of four stunning French wall mounted chandeliers with generous strings of cut crystal prisms and multi faceted octagon crystal beads. Each chandelier sconce has three gilt brass arms, each with a cut glass candle cup from which hang four crystal prisms. Each sconce has five bulbs and three Antique silk style lined shades. Simply hung on the wall from a single screw on each brass back plate, which has a lovely age-related patina. Each glass drop has been carefully cleaned, and replacement candle tubes have been added throughout. The chandeliers are in very good period condition, with only one broken prism point, which is shown in the last image. Professionally rewired. Measurements: 60cm H x 50cm W x 30cm D

This stunning 1970s American Lucite ribbon and brass chandelier comprises of U-shaped thick bands of cascading Lucite in different lengths that are suspended from a chrome frame with brass fixings. The large Lucite is illuminated by four bulbs at its centre, hung from a chain, which is attached to a ceiling rose. There is no maker's mark, however the chandelier is similar in style to those designed by Karl Springer or Charles Hollis Jones. There is a sticker inside the ceiling rose for Underwriters Laboratories Inc, a global safety science company headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois.
