About the Item
These lights are reclaimed from old super tankers and cargo ships.
The glass is clamped down by the cast frame, the frame and the glass turn and detach to reveal the lamp.
Loomlight has added the brass compression fittings to create a new gland for the cable and make the fixture functional and restore the IP rating.
All waterproof seals are still intact, so great for outdoors.
There is lots of original cast marking showing the manufacturer and original ip rating etc.
Originally made by EOW GDR of East Germany in the 1970's for the nautical marine industry.
A quality item not seen on the high street.
