About the Item

Cylindrical sconce with cased glass shade from the 1930s-40s, in Bauhaus / Art Deco style. This is a simple and elegant piece with metal wall plates and end caps. It houses a milky cased-glass shade. The light is in good condition, with a warm aged patina to the light ivory-painted base. Nothing to be mentioned regarding the glass. Original E14 bulb bases, with some chips and wear, but in working condition, with new wiring. It can also be used in the US with proper light bulbs, which we can order for you on request or make a buying recommendation for. The light could be mounted vertically or even horizontally, if you choose. The glass can be removed to change a bulb by loosening the screw on the top cap. Dimensions: 21x8x6cm

A Midcentury Modern double socket wall lamp/sconce dating back to the 1950s, designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld. Its form resembles a zeppelin or cigar, crafted from porcelain with a white glaze and topped with two white opaline glass shades. Executed by Linder Wandleuchten in Germany, this piece offers two E14 light sources and is preserved in very good condition. The lamp has a built-in switch, but it can be easily removed if you prefer to use it without. It has been rewired for modern use.
